This fun and interactive outdoor class is designed to give students a safe and comprehensive understanding of fire safety and practical uses of fire with a safe, portable rocket stove. A respectful gathering activity and discussion of forest and habitat conservation is coupled with a hands-on cooking activity. With the safe construction of a small controlled fire, students build and grow with their own hands.
Class vocabulary includes: Fire-Triangle, combustion, conduction, convection, smoke, safety, and danger. Also included is a gentle introduction to concepts of earth stewardship, conservation, and preservation.

Requirements:
Outdoor area that can accommodate seating & table space for each student. Designated area that a small controlled fire can be built on. (All ash, debris, and evidence of fire is cleaned up at end of class.) An accessible forested space where students can collect downed tree limbs is also very helpful but not mandatory.
Pricing:
One, to two (45 min) sessions for groups of up to 30 students max per session: $400
One bonus session can be added for an additional: $150 (3 session max per day)
